In the 1950s, a surveyor's job was not always a safe one (trespassing on rural roads and in highway traffic). They needed clothing made in bright red and white schemes to make sure they were seen. Or was it because they didn't want to be confused with the highway patrol checking on speeding cars? Whatever the reason, it seems only fitting that this exquisite surveyor's tripod lamp is reproduced in those classic colors of red and white. The lamps are highly decorative, very cool, and a must-have.
Tripod lamps are already very popular, and a more charismatic one than this banded red and white lamp is difficult to imagine. Like their fifty-year-old originals, they are made in maple wood and brass and will survive the ages.
Lampshade (cotton, ivory in color) and hardware included. UL-listed. CE approved.
